O Savior Thou that Wearest A Crown

Today was ward conference and the focus of the meeting was on keeping the Sabbath day Holy.What does it mean, and how can we make it what it truly is, not just a day of the weekend, but a day of Worship. It was brought up, that we dontoften think of attending our Sunday meetings as Worship, and this is what it is, we are going there to worship the Lord and renew our covenants. What is our frame of mind, do we really appreciate the symbol of the sacrament table, and the sacrament. (more…)

Isaiah 64:3

Earlier this month I was reading in Isaiah 64, and made note of verse 3:

3 When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.

things which we looked not for stuck out in my mind.

This has reference to signs of the Second Coming, but I believe it can also be applied in my life right now. What things am I not looking for that He has done?

I think it can be like the small and simple things that Tigersue mentioned on her blog

Letting someone go first in a grocery line, letting that car in trying to merge, smiling at people I don’t know and telling them Good day.

It applies to those silver linings in the clouds of adversity. Oy, those are hard to see!

I’m grateful for scripture and how the Spirit uses verses on gratitude to help me evaluate from time to time what I’m overlooking.
